Fit Horse Program

Whether you are stepping up to the next riding level, getting ready for competitions, bringing your horse back to work or recovering after injury, it all requires proper fitness routine, determination and quality training.

Key to improving fitness is to create a gradually increasing program, to make sure the horse’s body adapts and to minimize the likelihood of ligament & tendon injuries, mental & physical fatigue and burnout.

We use a vast range of different training techniques and equine physiotherapy to gradually and safely improve the cardiovascular fitness, bringing muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints to an optimum strength, closely monitoring the horse’s response to work and checking recovery rates after training.

The benefit of applying equine physiotherapy throughout the Fit horse program (Dorn method and Kinesio taping) massively enhances the horse’s mobility, relieves soft tissue tension, re-educates muscle memory and lower rates of injuries.

Highlights:

  • Vast range of training techniques

  • Tailor-made training plan

  • Close monitoring of horse response to work

  • Checking recovery rates after training

  • Kinesiotaping and Dorn method physiotherapy through out the program

  • Adjusted nutrition plan

Horse Re-education Program

If interacting with your horse has you experiencing any misbehavior, immediately addressing the horse’s concerns and problematic issues avoid bursting into uncontrollable dramatic actions reducing the potential risk of injury to you and your horse.

In overcoming behavioral issues, we consider previous training traits, the horse’s personality, and all life challenges contributing to poorly mannered behavior.

We aim to encourage softness, relaxation, and mental wellbeing within your horse while offering comfort and guidance to enhance clear communication. Understanding the instincts and horses’ communication system is paramount to the training process.

Our comprehensive and holistic step-by-step training methods are revolutionary, discouraging the use of punishment and rejecting any form of physical or mental abuse towards the horse.

We also work and support the owners to ensure the issues do not arise once returned home. We aim to create long-term success for you and your horse.

The Horse Performance Program

A correctly structured plan maximizes the horse’s full potential and performance, hand-in-hand with the rider’s pleasant experience.

During this program, we focus on both horse and rider progress by designing a training plan and schedule of rest and therapeutic interventions for the horse’s safety improvement.

Our training methods take into consideration every aspect of the horse’s and rider’s needs. We follow several principles throughout the training program; to minimize the likelihood of injuries or metabolic disorders; to improve skills, strengths, stamina, and flexibility; to enhance the horse’s willingness and enthusiasm to cooperate; to avoid burnout or fatigue; to avoid any physical or mental discomfort; to radically boost the horse’s and rider’s performance.

Retired Horse Program

Retired horses after a long career or well-aged furry friends all deserve special care and a fitness training program to keep them active and in good health.

As with humans, years of stress, injuries, and general wear and tear can result in painful and crippling arthritic changes, inflammations, poor movement, weight loss/gain, and poor physical condition.

To make retired horses more comfortable, our specially curated program considers all aspects of how to keep the horse comfortable and active. The use of frequent physiotherapy relieves the horse’s pain and supports his movement and posture improvement. In combination with other powerful remedies, proper nutritional schedule, daily care, and adequate physical activity the horse is highly valued for breeding, kids riding activities, or happy hacking in nature.

Highlights:

  • Close monitoring of horse’s health and condition.

  • Physiotherapy throughout the program.

  • Herbal, ayurvedic, and natural remedies.

  • Strict nutritional schedule.

  • Consultation with ferriers and dentition.

  • Adequate physical activities.

Programs  We Offer

Young Horse Program

This programme is specially designed for young green/inexperienced horses to carry a rider and to introduce different training principles. Starting a green horse is the most important process, which ultimately defines a horse's feelings on being ridden and handled by a human.

Decisions made during those initial months of training impact the horse’s emotional state towards humans, hand-in-hand the horse’s performance and accountability for the rest of their life.

Any discomfort while introducing new training tools or the rider itself, can leave an everlasting negative impression, limiting a horse's potential.

Last thing to take into consideration is the introduction of gradual fitness conditioning. Gradually increasing athleticism to optimum strength before you make long rides or rigorous manoeuvres, will bring not only muscles, but also joints, bones, ligaments, tendons etc. to the optimum.

Choosing an institute that professionally understands and  takes into consideration the mental as well as physical needs of the horse, is hugely beneficial for the animal's future development, performance, health and your satisfaction and safety.

Highlights:

  • Natural horsemanship approach

  • Introduction of tack, grooming, human handling, basics of riding

  • Introduction of different training tools (overcoming fears of objects and situations, pole work, etc.)

  • Stable mental wellbeing of the horse

  • Physical wellbeing of the horse + 1 session of physical therapy

  • Minimum 6 weeks recommended (might differ from each individual and the horse’s background)
